Herbal Origins

Herbalists have celebrated ginger for millennia, thanks to fast-acting plant compounds which help calm digestive discomfort. Blended with supportive herbs like turmeric and moringa, this tea for digestion is perfect after a meal and an ideal travel companion when you're on the go.

What are the Benefits of Ginger?

This warming root (Well, really a rhizome) is commonly used in tropical cuisines for its bold, spicy flavor. When used at the right dose internally, such as in an infusion or tincture, ginger helps ease occasional indigestion, cramping and helps settle a belly due to general nausea and motion sickness. Ginger was even traditionally used externally as a poultice or salve for a variety of uses. In modern Western herbalism, it's more technically known as a carminative and antispasmodic, while there is evidence of it also being used traditionally as a diaphoretic, energetic stimulant, and emmenagogue. A mouthful, we know, and a nod to its power.

Directions

Brew Well to be Well. For maximum benefit, medicinal tea must be properly prepared. Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over a tea bag in a ceramic cup. Cover cup and steep 10 minutes. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup! Gently squeeze the tea bag to release any remaining extract. Drink 2-3 cups daily 30 minutes before or after meals.

Cautions: Consult a health care provider prior to use if you have gallstones, a blood coagulation disorder, or are taking blood thinners. If abdominal discomfort, heartburn and/or an irritant effect in the mouth and throat persists, please consult a health care provider.

Pregnancy and lactation: Consult your pre- or post- natal healthcare provider prior to use.
