Organic Pitted prunes are prepared from California prunes that have been air dried immediately after harvesting. This product is ready-to-eat or can be used as a functional ingredient in a variety of prepared meals or other food products.
Freshly harvested prunes are cleaned, sorted, dried and graded. They are then processed by rehydrating with steam to desired moisture and mechanically pitted using Elliot or Ashlock pitting equipment. Prunes are visually inspected and hand sorted to remove any remaining pits and fragments. Large and soft and un-sulfured prunes.
- To maintain quality, refrigerate after opening.
